So, this isn’t exactly a recipe its more of a fun idea for a Halloween party/cupcake decorating ideas. So, it’s Monster Cupcakes! How much fun is that for Halloween?! This is so much fun to do with kids, they seriously love to put candy on cupcakes. Depending on the age of kids you are doing this with you can either have the cupcakes already frosted or have to kids frost and decorate the cupcakes. They can come up with the creepiest monsters. If you want this to be more of a game than just an activity you can have judges to judge the cupcakes and have different categories like: scariest, cutest, funniest, etc.
First, you are going to want to bake the cupcakes and make your frosting! Any flavors/colors will do.
Now we need to assemble lots of candy and sprinkles! I would defiantly recommend having candy eyes, laffy taffy, gummy worms, sour punch bites, nerds, and bone shaped sprinkles at the least. Colored sugars are also great. Really whatever you have, you can make it work.
It works great to have Betty Crocker brand candy eyes (I got mine at Walmart) and the sour punch bites so you can make these awesome pop out eyes!
Laffy Taffy is great for making tounges!
Gummy worms can make great hair or a mouth.
Bone sprinkles are just fun.
I love this one, it has eyebrows and a tiny mustache!
This one is like a rock monster!
Can you tell I love the sour punch bite eyes? This one reminds me of the movie Labyrinth, with all the little eyes on the walls and stuff, it’s great.
There 24 fantastically decorated Monster Cupcakes!
I’m sure your Halloween party will be a success with these Monster Cupcakes. You can decorate them all yourself or make it a fun activity for the kids at your Halloween party either way it’s gonna be lots of fun! Have fun decorating!
